About Virosil F&B
Virosil F&B is an eco-friendly, non-toxic disinfectant and fumigant ideally suited for the Food & Beverage industry due to its unique properties of being a colourless, odourless and tasteless liquid disinfectant. Virosil F&B can be used where other chlorine-based disinfectants have been feared.

The unique formulation is based on Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), which is a strong oxidizing agent, and combined with Silver (Ag) ions. The combination of the two elements give a synergistic effect in killing all forms of bacteria, fungi and viruses as the H2O2 oxidizes the bio-film, the Ag penetrates and attacks the bacterium cell completely, thereby giving Virosil F&B another advantage of being non-mutagenic.

Virosil F&B is a patented formulation manufactured in India in technical collaboration with Sanosil AG of Switzerland. The formulation is approved by the FDA, German Society of Hygiene and Microbiology, Public Health Department of Switzarland and by various other Healthcare Departments of Western Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

Virosil F&B - Ideal for F&B
Disinfection of all food processing operations is a must in the F&B industry for hygienic reasons. Although there are several products used for disinfection in the F&B industry, they can be classified into four broad groups.
  • Chlorine-based products
  • Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QUATS)

Though each class has its unique qualities, Virosil F&B, with its latest Swiss technology, is more effective combining the best of all three and being non-toxic and environment-friendly.

Method of Use
Water Disinfection
A dosage of 100 ppm (1000 ml per 10,000 litres of water) is recommended for complete pathogen-free water.
Aerial Fumigation
Virosil F&B has been the ideal choice of user for replacing Formalin Formaldehyde Fumigation. Concentration: 20% for 1000 cu. ft. area to be fumigated with ULV fogger (i. e. 200 ml of Virosil F&B in 800 ml distilled water). Contact Time: One hour, after which the area is ready for work. The recommended ULV fogger gives a very fine mist which allows the formulation to be suspended in the atmosphere for a longer period of time, guaranteeing a 100% kill rate on all air borne bacteria and fungus.
Instruments Disinfection
Dip the instruments in 10% solution.
Surface Disinfection
A 5% to 10% solution is required to disinfect all working areas, pipelines and CIP units.
Storage Tank Disinfection
Spray the surfaces of the tank with a 5% to 10% solution.
